The Home Assistance Programs offer daily assistance with the physical and social needs of elders and disabled adults living in designated housing units. For persons at risk of institutionalization, the Home Assistance Programs (HAP) provide important community living options that recognize and preserve the independence and good health of persons requiring supervision. Care is provided by Certified Nursing Assistants and other professionally trained caregivers.
Our Home Assistance Program is currently looking for part-time caregivers 7 a.m. - 11 a.m. Monday through Friday (up to 20 hours per week) in the New Bedford area. This position does not include benefits.
Caregivers monitor the placement status in the home and provides assistance with participant's daily living needs as directed by a plan of care ensuring that personal care services are provided on a daily basis. Duties may include: personal care, cleaning and general housekeeping, assist with shopping and provide on-going supervision of the participant's health related activities.
Completion of a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) and/or Home Health Aide (HHA) training program is desired but not required with relevant experience. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required.
We are currently hiring for 6:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.shifts seven days per week. All employees must successfully pass a CORI/CPS background check.
