We are seeking a part time Kitchen Aide (20 hours per week) to assist the Program Leaders at the Adult Day Health site in Raynham, MA. The hours are 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 noon.
Our Kitchen Aide is responsible for monitoring the temperature of food to assure safe serving practices of hot and cold foods, and documenting in food log prior to serving; checking and documenting refrigerator and freezer temps daily; calibrating the thermometer used to check food temps weekly; washing tables before and after meals;
Preparing sandwiches for clients who desire an alternative to the day's meal or for field trips; cleaning after food service, including loading dishwasher, washing pans and other serving utensils, washing all kitchen surfaces to maintain cleanliness guidelines, and cleaning kitchen and activity floors; Routine and as needed cleaning including stove and refrigerator; reporting any damage of kitchen items or furniture to the Program Leader immediately;
maintaining a list of foods needed to be purchased and give to Program Leader as directed and respond to the reasonable expectations of the Agency and/or supervisors.
Kitchen Aides must be able to work with others as part of a team and communicate effectively. Must also be CPR and First Aid certified. Must be 18 years of age or older.
A High School Diploma or Trade School Certification is required and previous dietary, kitchen and serve safe cert. is preferred. Experience working with the elderly or disabled is preferred.
