We have a great opportunity for a full time (35 - 40 hours per week) position in our Community Service Agency (CSA) program.
The responsibilities of the position include providing weekly supervision to our Family Partners; serving as a parent representative at program activities; being a role model and advocate for children/families involved in the wraparound process; delivery of services in the parent/caregiver's home and community; providing peer support to families; linking families with appropriate services, advocating for them when necessary; participating in staff meetings, in-service training and team meetings; assist with meeting the needs of the youth and meet one or more of the following purposes; educating, supporting, coaching, modeling and guiding; teach parent/caregiver on how to navigate the child-serving systems and processes and how to identify formal and community based resources; delivers services in accordance with existing outpatient or in home therapy treatment plan; assists in the development of support groups for parents; must maintain standards of confidentiality at all times.
Minimum staff qualifications for this position include: experience as a caregiver of a youth with special needs and preferably a youth with mental health needs; a Bachelor's Degree in a human services field from an accredited university and one year of experience working with the target population; or an Associates' Degree in a human service field from an accredited school and one year of experience working with children/adolescents/transition age youth or; a High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of two years of experience working with children/adolescents/transition age youth and must have a minimum of two years supervisory experience working collaboratively with state agencies, consumer advocacy groups, and/or behavioral health outpatient facilities.
This position will require unsupervised contact with children. A full background check including CORI and CPS check will be completed as well as proof of a recent physical within one year of hire date. You will be required to drive on CSA business; therefore an acceptable motor vehicle report (MVR), appropriate insurance coverage and proof of vehicle inspection is required.
The hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
