Home Assistance Program - Fall River, MA - Part Time

You may be eligible to be PAID for helping a family member or friend with their in-home personal care!!

The Home Assistance Program through Family Service Association hires Family Members and/or Friends of individuals who qualify for services.*See below for details on eligibility*

Play a vital role in promoting independence, dignity, and a higher quality of life for the people we serve!

Duties Include:

  • Assistance with personal care
    • Bathing, dressing, grooming
  • Light housekeeping
  • Laundry 
  • Shopping
  • Meal prep

Education and Requirements:

  • Must have the ability to perform light housekeeping tasks such as:
    • lifting kitchen trash bags, pushing a vacuum, wiping counter tops, sanitizing bathrooms, which include bending, squatting, lifting under 25 pounds, pushing cleaning equipment, scrubbing, while practicing proper body mechanics.
  • Experience in providing homecare and/or working with adults with a medical or mental health diagnosis strongly preferred! No CNA or HHA license required if you possess the experience
  • High School Diploma or GED.  
*MassHealth enrolled members who require assistance w/ personal care on a daily basis due to:
  • A diagnosed medical condition (a physical challenge and/or mental health diagnosis)
AND
  • Be at least 22 years of age
  • Be a MassHealth Standard or CommonHealth recipient, be enrolled in a Senior Care Option (SCO), or in a One Care program.
  • Be approved by a Primary Care Physician. 

***Candidates must pass CORI and CPS (child protective services) background checks.***
