Assistant Group Leader - Seasonal
Our After School Day Care program has an exciting opportunity for 2 seasonal Assistant Group Leader positions for the Summer of 2026! The hourly rate is $16.50 - this is a 35 hour Monday - Friday with set hours TBD between 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Job Summary:
To assist the Group Leader in the planning of daily activities which are age appropriate and contribute to the social, emotional, cognitive and/or physical growth of the children.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise children and support a safe, positive program environment at all times.
- Assist with implementing planned daily activities and transitions.
- Help Prepare materials and maintain organized program spaces
- Assist in daily site setup and take down.
- Maintain equipment and daycare property.
- Communicate significant behaviors to the Group Leader.
- Assist with incident and accident documentation as needed.
- Work cooperatively with team members filling out goal sheets and charts.
- Attend staff meetings and training as required.
- Build positive relationships with children and encourage participation.
- Support Transportation Monitor duties as scheduled
- Maintain a professional and respectful approach with children, families and staff
Experience Required:
- The Assistant Group Leader must be at least 16 years of age and work under the direct supervision of a Group Leader.
- An Assistant Group Leader must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent or be currently enrolled in a high school program or equivalent; or be at least 18 years of age or over and work under the general supervision of the Group Leader.
**Must be able to successfully pass a CORI/SORI and fingerprint background check.**
